What we have to offer!
On over 30km of trail situated among spruce, pine and fir, as well as towering aspen and cottonwood trees, cross-country skiers can get a great workout in a wilderness setting. Trails also have amazing scenery along ridges, lakes and creeks. Enhance the evening with a ski excursion along 2.5km/1.5mi of lit trails. Take away the wintry chill with a stop over our NEW CLUBHOUSE or at one of three warming huts, located along the main trails and which are stocked with firewood. Kirby's Villa is located past the rodeo grounds, Alpine I Shelter is located past Lost Lake and Alpine II Shelter is located by Moose Lake.
Our Trails
Enjoy the winters in and near Mackenzie by cross-country skiing along more than 30km/25mi of forested, groomed trails, with an additional 10km/6mi in John Dahl Regional Park next to Mackenzie.
Trails begin at the Mackenzie Nordiques Clubhouse located at the Golf and Country Club, where visitors can park. The trails are maintained by Mackenzie Nordiques Cross Country Ski Club members and volunteers. We are a keen and friendly bunch, willing to show visitors the trails, as well as basic ski skills. If you are just visiting, a full day pass to the trails is $10.00 and can be paid to the drop box at our clubhouse.
Lit Loop
We are currently working on the lighting systems for the 2.5 KM lit loop.
